I have been eyeing this German Apple Cake recipe for ages! I had some apples lying around and they were getting rotten when I thought I should try this. I had 2 pears getting rotten too. Added that too! But since it had already started rotting I only used up one and a quarter of those 2 pears. The cake was very soft and got more delicious when refrigerated. Do give it a try.

Salam Sis, it seems we both made the Apple cake and bread on the same day! That day was also as I found out later World Bread day :) I know what you mean about fruit just laying around and they waste so fast, its great to be able to make something like cake with that left over fruit before it goes bad. That is the time when good experiments happen in the kitchen!

Yup, that was a coincidence! : ) Yeah alhamdulillah for breads and cakes! How many bananas were saved in my house due to breads, muffins and cakes! : )
